Care You Can Trust

  • Who performs your treatment

At our Whittier office, your Botox is always done by a registered nurse or nurse practitioner, under the direction of our medical director, Dr. Behzad Noorian. That's not just our standard, it's California law. Botox is a medical treatment, so it should never be done by an esthetician or assistant, no matter where you go. When you're choosing a med spa, it's always okay to ask who will be treating you and what their license is.

  • Their experience

Some of our nurses have been with South Bay Med Spa for more than ten years. Pamela has been with us since 2012. So when you find a nurse you love, she'll still be here next time, and the time after that. She'll get to know your face, your goals, and what makes you feel your best, so you never have to start over with someone new.

  • What we use

Only FDA-approved neurotoxins, purchased through authorized distributors.

How Injectables Compare, and How Long They Last

Treatment Best For Results Price
BOTOX®The Gold Standard
Precision: Predictable spread makes it our first choice around the eyes, for lip flips, and for frown lines.
3–4 Months $$
JEUVEAU®The "Newtox"
Best Value: Dosed one-to-one with Botox, so unit prices compare directly. A straightforward starting point.
3–4 Months $
LETYBO®K-Beauty Star
Highly Purified: Worth discussing if your results have started fading faster than they once did.
3–4 Months $
DYSPORT®The Smooth Operator
Large Areas: Diffuses more and takes effect faster, which suits a broad forehead and the glabella.
3–4 Months $$
DAXXIFY®The Long-Laster
Longevity: Fewer visits a year. Duration varies more between patients than the others.
6+ Months $$$

*Recovery: 0–24 hours. Dysport units are not equivalent to Botox units, so per-unit prices between the two cannot be compared directly. We will always quote your total, not just the unit price.

What Treatment Looks Like

Botox jawline contouring without surgery at South Bay Med Spa, Whittier.

Botox can refine jawlines

Most people think Botox is just for wrinkles, but RN Marina is using it to change the lower face profile completely. We’re looking at how targeting the masseter muscle can slim down a "boxy" jawline while—thankfully—stopping the constant ache of teeth grinding. It’s a subtle shift that makes a massive difference in how you feel and look.

RN Bonnie of South Bay Med Spa tackles a common brow concern: correcting a "brow coma" while carefully maintaining the brow's natural position.

"I really love this place!"

"I really love this place! I started coming here for Botox ( or Dysport ?). I love how kind and friendly they all are, especially Stephany at the front desk. I have so far done Botox and laser hair removal. They have amazing deals where you can buy packages ahead of time as well. I didn't really ever think of myself as a person who would go to a med spa consistently, but here I am going here on the regular."

Does it Matter Which Neurotoxin Brand I Get?

For most people, not much. The differences between brands are smaller than you think. What really changes is how fast it works, how much it spreads, and how long it lasts. You don't need to figure this out on your own. Your nurse will help you choose what's right for your face and your goals.

  • Botox is the most predictable. It stays exactly where it's placed, which makes it a great choice around the eyes, for a lip flip, and anywhere precision matters.

  • Jeuveau is dosed the same as Botox, so prices compare easily. It's a great option if you're new.

  • Dysport can start working faster, sometimes in two or three days, and spreads a little more, which can work well across a wider forehead.

  • Letybo can be a good option to talk about if you've been getting treatments for years and feel your results don't last as long as they used to.

  • Daxxify lasts longer, which is nice if you'd rather not come in every few months. Results vary more from person to person, so we'll always be honest about what to expect.

But none of that matters as much as where the product goes and how much of it. The brand is the smallest decision we make."
