Dermal Fillers
Thinking about a filler?
Filler can do beautiful things. It can give you fuller lips, bring back volume in your cheeks, or define your jawline. The key is a result that fits your face and makes you feel confident.
That’s why the most important question isn’t just which area to treat. It’s whether your nurse is looking at your whole face, so every feature works together, and you love what you see.

What Can Filler Do?
Filler adds volume and shape where you want it. It can give you fuller lips, lift and define your cheeks, shape your chin and jawline, and smooth the lines around your mouth.
Sometimes the best results come from treating a nearby area. For example, the lines around your mouth may look softer when we add volume to your cheeks. Your nurse will look at your whole face and explain what will give you the look you want.
-
Will I Look Overdone?
When filler looks off, it’s usually not from one treatment. It happens when more is added at each visit, over years, without anyone looking at the whole face. We plan for the look you want, whether that’s soft and subtle or full and defined, and we build it in a way that’s balanced with the rest of your face. Sometimes that means getting there over a couple of visits, so your results always look beautiful on you.

Is Dermal Filler Safe?
Dermal filler has a strong safety record when it is administered by a qualified medical professional with extensive knowledge of facial anatomy. We use only FDA-approved products and keep hyaluronidase on site to dissolve hyaluronic acid filler if necessary.

See where filler actually helps
-
Filler is priced by the syringe, but the number of syringes matters less than where the filler goes and in what order. Your nurse will talk through:
Which area to treat. The lines around your mouth, for example, often look softer when we add volume to your cheeks.
Whether filler is the right choice. Filler adds volume. If your concern is skin texture, like scars or large pores, a laser or skin treatment may work better. If it’s lines that show when you smile or frown, Botox is usually the better fit.
Which type of filler fits your goal. Most fillers are made of hyaluronic acid, a substance your skin already has, and can be dissolved if needed.
We’ll help you get to the look you want over one or more visits. And if filler isn’t the best answer for your goal, we’ll tell you.
-
Filler is immediate in a way Botox isn't, but swelling means what you see on day one isn't your result.
You'll see volume right away, with swelling and possible bruising for a few days.
Settled result at about two weeks.
Certain areas may metabolize faster.
When it wears off you return to where you started gradually.
-
Most hyaluronic acid fillers can be dissolved with an enzyme called hyaluronidase. We keep hyaluronidase on site.
Collagen-stimulating fillers are not dissolved in the same way, which is one reason product selection and conservative treatment planning matter. Before treatment, we’ll explain what we’re recommending, why we chose it and whether it can be reversed.

By the syringe. Each one holds 1 mL, about a fifth of a teaspoon. You pay for the number of syringes used, so the total depends on the area and how much volume you've lost. Typical price: $600 to $800 per syringe. Radiesse is priced by the vial rather than the syringe, because it builds your own collagen over months rather than adding volume on the day.

Lip Filler
At South Bay Med Spa, we use premium fillers like Juvéderm and Restylane to sculpt and define. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring sugar in your body that holds 1,000x its weight in water, meaning your results aren’t just voluminous—they’re incredibly soft to the touch.

"Very reassuring and kind..."
"I have been seen twice for filler dissolver and the service was exceptional! The entire staff is very welcoming, explained everything well. The RN that applied my dissolver was very reassuring and kind. I would definitely go back for other services."
Where we use filler and where we don't
Lips are the obvious choice. We also recommend adding volume to the cheeks for a more youthful look.
The folds around the mouth are where whole-face thinking matters most. People point at the line and want me to fill the line. Often the real fix is restoring the cheek above it. Jawline and chin do more for a profile than most people expect.
There's plenty filler can't do, and we’ll tell you when we've hit that. It doesn't improve skin quality, fix lines caused by movement, or lift skin that has genuinely descended. Real laxity is the main issue: filler can offer a little support, but past a certain point it adds weight faster than lift, which is the opposite of what you want.
Every filler we use is hyaluronic acid, which means it can be dissolved. If you don't like it, or something shifts, we can reverse it. Each one has its own strengths, so we’ll always tell you which one and why.
